The second edition of the Tri-Council Policy Statement on Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans has now been formally released and is available on the Interagency Advisory Panel on Research Ethics website at http://pre.ethics.gc.ca/pdf/eng/tcps2/TCPS_2_FINAL_Web.pdf.

The original TCPS tutorial has now been retired and the new tutorial will not be released until February 2011. In the interim, graduate students and medical residents planning to submit research ethics applications and who have not already completed the original TCPS tutorial should instead complete the CHRPP (Course in Human Research Participant Protection) tutorial. 

All UBC faculty, staff and students (and affiliated institutions) have access to this tutorial, although a valid UBC or affiliated site email address (e.g. @cw.bc.ca, @bccancer.bc.ca, @providencehealthcare.bc.ca, @vch.ca) is required for registration.  The tutorial is available at www.chrpp.ca.
