Christy manages the Internal Review (IR) Program, focusing on health research grants. IR serves to match faculty reviewers with researchers working on CIHR and other health-related proposals, in order to strengthen submissions to external funding agencies and improve success rates.
Christy also coordinates grant writing workshops throughout the year (e.g., CIHR Operating Grant Information Sessions and Working Groups, CIHR New Investigator Salary Award) and works one-on-one with new researchers who have just joined the UBC research community.
Prior to joining SPARC, Christy worked in change management and strategic planning in the health care sector. Christy received her Masters in Health Administration from UBC and Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University.
