I am pleased to announce that Dr. François Jean has accepted a re-appointment as Scientific Director of the Facility for Infectious Diseases and Epidemic Research (FINDER). 

François established and has capably led FINDER for the past three years. He works closely with the Director and staff in the Centre for Disease Modelling, and with the user community, to optimize use and effectiveness of the FINDER facility for all concerned. He will continue to report directly to the Associate Vice President Research & International for a five-year term, subject to satisfactory annual reviews.  

John Hepburn and I are very pleased that François is continuing in this position, and we look forward to continuing our successful collaboration.
