UBC is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Associate Vice President Research & International. The Associate Vice President Research & International will play a key leadership role in the administration of all matters relating to the implementation and execution of Research and International strategies for the University, consistent with the Commitments, Goals and Actions of Place and Promise, the University’s strategic plan. The AVP Research & International will also lead a dedicated group in efforts to support and advance the research enterprise at UBC.

Reporting to the Vice President Research & International, the ideal candidate will be a stellar scholar who will bring a vision to this endeavour, to strengthen and enhance UBC’s research activities across its two campuses and participate in the development and implementation of a cohesive and constructive international strategy. The Associate Vice President will be appointed to a five-year term, renewable once. External applicants, if successful, will be required to secure a tenured position at the University in addition to the AVP appointment.
