Program for undergraduate RESEARCH EXperience
Broadening access to, and enhancing, undergraduate research experiences is a central priority in UBC’s new strategic plan. UBC has committed $1m in strategic funds over 2 years for the Program for Undergraduate Research Experience (PURE), and a call for proposals is now open.
BC HEALTH DATA ASSET INVENTORY
The Vice-President, Research Office commissioned Deloitte to compile an inventry of health data assets in British Columbia. The data set and summary reports are available to download.

UBC consultation on CIHR REforms
Building on the results of the CIHR Working Group Meeting, UBC Scientists convened a townhall on July 20, 2016. The highly productive and well-attended townhall resulted in a series of short and long-term recommendations.
UBC Professor, Liisa Galea, performed a nationwide survey on impacts of CIHR reforms on health research programs in Canada. Her findings, based on responses from 426 PIs across Canada, can be found on her website.
