Today, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council announced nearly $243 million in funding through SSHRC Insight, Insight Development, Partnership and Partnership Development Grants programs.
This investment supports 1,679 projects led by researchers across Canada, ensuring the continued growth of Canada’s research capacity and its global leadership in social sciences and humanities research.
This investment is part of a series of major investments in federal research funding, announced today by the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, that has been awarded through a suite of research programs administered by the three federal research granting agencies—the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
