Animal Care Services - 2025 Winter Holiday Service Schedule

Dear investigators and research lab members,

Please be advised of our order and delivery schedule for the 2025-2026 holiday season. Many service areas including the ACS Business Office and the Training Program will be closed or operating at limited capacity during this time. We strongly recommend planning your orders and service requests accordingly to minimize disruptions.
 

Service AreaHoliday Hours & Deadlines
Business Office & Procurement OfficeOffices closed Dec. 25, 2025 – Jan. 1, 2026. We will re-open at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2026.
Animal Orders & Deliveries
  • Dec. 9: Submit orders prior to 12 p.m. for delivery during the week of Dec. 15.
  • Dec. 15 - 19: Last animal order deliveries for 2025.
  • Dec. 16: Submit orders prior to 12 p.m. for delivery during the week of Jan. 5, 2026.
Pharmaceuticals & Laboratory Supplies
  • Dec. 15: Submit orders prior to 12 p.m. for last AVP delivery of 2025.
  • Dec. 15 - 18: Last supply order deliveries for 2025.
Animal Transfers
  • Dec. 12: Submit transfer requests prior to 12 p.m.
  • Dec. 18: Last animal transfer for 2025.
  • Dec. 25, 2025 – Jan. 1, 2026: ACS loading docks closed for deliveries.
Diagnostic & Research Histology Laboratory
  • Diagnostic Lab: Closed Dec. 20, 2025 – Jan. 4, 2026.
  • Bacteriology: Submit last samples for in-house bacteriology on Dec. 9 unless prior arrangements made with the Diagnostic lab.
  • Research Histology Lab: Closed Dec. 17, 2025 – Jan. 4, 2026.
Training ProgramClosed Dec. 20, 2025 – Jan. 1, 2026, unless prior arrangements made with the Training team.

 

Statutory Holiday Service Charge
For requests requiring animal technician time on statutory holidays when the University is closed, statutory rates will apply.
