Research Project Information Form

All research grant applications and project proposals must be accompanied by a Research Project Information Form (RPIF).

This PDF form is designed to be completed using Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader only.

Download the Form (with instructions) |  Download the Form (no instructions)

Recommended: Save the form and complete it from your desktop rather than completing it within a browser window. Browser plug-in viewers may not render the form correctly or allow data to be saved properly.

For Mac users: The default program opening PDF files on a Mac is Preview. We do not recommend using Preview to complete the form. While Preview will allow you to enter text and print the form, it will not allow you to add a digital ID or a scanned signature, and may not preserve data you have entered into the form when saving. To complete and save the form properly, please use Adobe Acrobat or the free Adobe Reader.

The RPIF is required to: identify funding partner(s), understand the resources required for the project, identify any budgetary issues that may need to be addressed, and collect the necessary department and faculty approvals.

Please note that forms submitted to the Office of Research Services must observe internal deadlines in order to guarantee processing (details are available on the ORS website).

Internal deadlines:

Vancouver Campus  Okanagan Campus

Guidance notes are included on the RPIF form itself when opened using Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader, and are also provided below.
