In support of the NSERC Discovery Grant competition, SPARC staff will host regular office hours through Zoom, every Tuesday and Thursday (starting August 25), until the end of the competition. An initial draft has been created with feedback collected from the UBC community late 2021 and early 2022 and by following the Research Infrastructure Self-Evaluation (RISE) model. ARC is pleased to announce the launch of the ARC Beta and Pilot Program!  

ARC evaluates many new, nascent and emerging technologies in order to deliver high-impact services and tools that are required by UBC researchers.  Researchers are invited to partner with ARC on these evaluations and work together on identifying and narrowing down these needs.

UBC researchers are leading 47 projects awarded a total of $38.3 million through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Project Grants: Spring 2022 competition. 

In total, the Project Grants: Spring 2022 competition approved 405 research grants, plus 2 bridge grants, for a total investment of approximately $325M. In addition, 61 priority announcement grants were funded for a total amount of $10,779,207 and 16 supplemental prizes were awarded for a total of $1,060,000
