The Collaborative Research Mobility Awards (CRMA) are designed to facilitate collaboration on timely research opportunities by enabling researchers to move between campuses or institutions.

UBCO & UBCV:
The UBC Collaborative Research Mobility Awards are designed to support research collaboration across UBC in Vancouver and the Okanagan by providing funding to:
- initiate new or strengthen existing research collaborations;
- enable travel to access unique infrastructure/core facilities at each location or to hold research meetings; and
- support travel, per diems, and accommodations for UBC researchers
$100,000 is available to researchers across all disciplines at either campus to build or strengthen collaborations with the other campus.
Please note that there are two application deadlines each year.

UBC & UCLA
The UBC & UCLA CRMA pilot fund supports activities to establish or enrich interdisciplinary research between faculty at the two institutions, with preference given to collaborations based in the social sciences, humanities, and the creative and/or performing arts.
The total funding envelope for this competition is up to $100,000 CAD from UBC and up to $100,000 USD from UCLA. The maximum value of each grant is $20,000 CAD, or $15,000 USD. UBC and UCLA lead PIs will each receive their allocation of the budget up to the maximum awarded amount.

UBC & University of Washington:
The UBC & UW Collaborative Research Mobility Awards are designed to support research collaborations between researchers at either UBC campus and the University of Washington by providing pilot funding to:
- initiate new and strengthen existing research collaborations;
- enable access to unique infrastructure and core facilities; and
- provide collaborative training opportunities.
The total funding envelope for this competition is $100,000 CAD from UBC and $75,000 USD from UW. The maximum value of each grant is $20,000 CAD, or $15,000 USD. UBC and UW lead PIs will each receive their allocation of the budget up to the maximum awarded amount.
