VPRI Unit: Advanced Research Computing

ARC will be upgrading the Sockeye System’s operating system beginning Wednesday, June 26 2024.  A scheduled three-day outage has been planned to facilitate the necessary work for this extensive upgrade.

A new ‘EDI in Research’ course is now available through UBC Workplace Learning. This new online course is specifically developed for faculty, staff and students involved in research, to support the learning and implementation of appropriate equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) practices within the UBC research ecosystem.

The development of this course was a collaboration between units in the Vice-President, Research and Innovation portfolio and the Equity and Inclusion Office.

UBC Vancouver is embarking on a search for a new Associate Vice-President, Research & Innovation to succeed Dr. Matthew Evenden who completes his term later this fall.
