Two research projects led by UBC researchers have been awarded funding from AGE-WELL, Canada's technology and aging network.

The UBC projects were among nine who received a total of $2.4 million, comprised of funds from AGE-WELL and matched contributions from 18 partners spanning multiple sectors including academic, industry and community organizations. This competition is open to new and returning clusters of research excellence in all disciplines at UBC Vancouver. and we welcome applications from both previously funded and new clusters. Cluster leads must submit a notice of intent by November 1, 2024. Full applications are due January 8, 2025.

Research Facility Support Grants (RFSG) provide funding to extend the useful life of shared equipment at UBC through support for their operation, replacement of parts, repair or upgrade.

RFSGs provide up to $50,000 for a term of one year to improve the capabilities of shared equipment, or to provide one-time bridge funding to support staff in shared facilities.

Researchers located on the UBC Vancouver campus and affiliated hospital sites are eligible to apply.
