In 2021/22, $1.4m of Faculty of Medicine research funding went to researchers in the Southern Medical Program at UBC Okanagan. If this funding is re-allocated to the Okanagan total, this results in a 2021/22 total of $46.6m for the Okanagan campus.

Infrastructure Funding by Agency (CFI/BCKDF)
Infrastructure funding supports buildings, facilities and large equipment used for research. The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) typically funds 40% of an approved infrastructure project, which is often matched by the BC Knowledge Development Fund (BCKDF). The University is responsible for funding the remaining 20%. Funding from each source for individual projects does not flow evenly in each year.
