The workshop on April 28 and 29 is being webcast  via the links below.

April 28  |  April 29

The UBC Centennial Emerging Research Workshop on Epigenetics will be held on April 27-29, 2016.

This workshop aims to bring together researchers across UBC in this relatively new but already complex area to better understand and raise the profile of epigenetics research at UBC.

The workshop will include presentations from UBC and international scholars showcasing the latest research being conducted in this field. An event to highlight the impact of epigenetic research to the general public will be held the evening of April 27th at Science World.

Change of Venue

Due to overwhelming demand, the workshop will now be held in Life Sciences Centre Lecture Theatre 1.

Workshop Schedule: April 28 - 29, 2016

The academic portion will be held over two days at Life Sciences Centre at UBC on April 28th and 29th, and will include topics such as the (modifiable) social and environmental influences on epigenetics, epigenetics in development and disease, epigenetic marks and regulatory mechanisms, and defining the epigenome.

Information on speaker presentations will be available shortly. For more information on their research, click on their names in the schedule.

Public Event: An Evening of Epigenetics at Science World

As part of the Centennial Emerging Research Workshop on Epigenetics, UBC is co-presenting a free public evening at Science World to inform and engage our audience on the topic of epigenetics, and its role in development, health and disease. Presented in partnership with Science World, Genome BC and the Child and Family Research Institue, the evening will begin with a keynote speaker, followed by a panel of experts in the field who will each give a brief overview of their areas before answering questions.

Tickets are now sold out but you can sign up for the waitlist.
