Internal Competition

The VPRI Office will hold two information sessions to support the 2021/22 Grants for Catalyzing Research Clusters competition.

We encourage groups who are interested in applying for this funding to attend one of the information sessions to learn more about this program. Registration is required as Zoom details will be sent to registrants closer to the event.

We are pleased to announce the 2021/22 Grants for Catalyzing Research Clusters (GCRC) Competition.

Applications are being invited from both emerging and established clusters of research excellence in all disciplines on the Vancouver campus. Previously funded clusters, as well as new clusters, are eligible to apply to this competition. A notice of intent to apply must be submitted by November 2, 2020.

The VPRI has established the Research Facility Support Grants (RFSG) competition to provide funding for the operation, maintenance, replacement, repair or upgrade of equipment to support research.

This competition is open to faculty located at the UBC Vancouver campus and affiliated hospital sites. The RFSGs are one-year grants of up to $50,000 intended to enhance UBC research and training. Apply by October 1, 2021.
