Prizes, Awards or Honours Recipient

UBC is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022 Faculty Research Awards. 

The Office of the VP, Research and Innovation will be hosting a reception on June 6, 2022 to acknowledge the achievements of our researchers.

The National Killam Program announced today the 2023 Killam Prize and Dorothy Killam Fellowship winners, recognizing the inclusive collaborators, research leaders and barrier breakers who are driving the future of Canada.

The recipients included UBC's Dr. Sally Otto, University Killam Professor and professor of zoology in the Faculty of Science as well as Dr. Pieter Cullis, from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the Faculty of Medicine.

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world’s largest general scientific society and publisher of the Science family of journals, has elected Dr. Rashid Sumaila to the newest class of AAAS Fellows, among the most distinct honours within the global scientific community.

Appointees include Drs. Allen Eaves, Paula Gordon, David Ley and Pitman Potter
