Are you a community group working with UBC on a shared project? Are you a UBC faculty member, staff or student seeking funding for your community partner?

Community-University Engagement Support (CUES) is a competitive funding program that provides successful recipients at eligible community organizations in British Columbia the funds to build partnerships and pursue shared projects with UBC. VPRI Unit: VP Research & Innovation Office

The VPRI has established the Research Facility Support Grants (RFSG) competition to provide funding for the operation, maintenance, replacement, repair or upgrade of equipment to support research.

This competition is open to faculty located at the UBC Vancouver campus and affiliated hospital sites. The RFSGs are one-year grants of up to $50,000 intended to enhance UBC research and training. Apply by October 1, 2021.

The NSERC Alliance grants playbook has been updated to reflect and include the most recent changes to the program, and includes a section on the new National Security Guidelines for Research Partnerships. The playbook is available for download on the SPARC NSERC Resources webpage (CWL required).

The B.C. government is investing nearly $25 million to support 34 post-secondary research projects that will drive innovation and economic growth. They will also help create jobs, protect our biodiversity and environment, and help keep British Columbians healthy and safe.

This includes 26 projects being led by UBC researchers that have been awarded a combined $22.4 million.

UBC researchers received more than $5.7m in funding for 37 projects from the Canada Foundation for Innovation's (CFI) John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF).

The JELF awards were announced by the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, as part of a larger announcement of more than more than $77 million to support 332 research infrastructure projects at 50 universities across the country.
