    Nineteen UBC Researchers Announced as Canada Research Chairs

    The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry announced an investment of more than $139 million to support 176 new and renewed Canada Research Chairs across 46 institutions in Canada and a further $6m to 29 of the Canada Research Chairs at 22 universities across the country through the CFI John R. Evans Leaders Fund.

    CFI Biosciences Research Infrastructure Fund supports pathogen research lab at BC Centre for Disease Control

    Dr. Mel Krajden at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control, and professor in UBC's department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, leads the project BOLSTER-3-Pathogen Research: Building Operational Laboratory Strength To Enhance Risk 3 Pathogen Research that was awarded over $4m.
