Beginning 2023, the CREB will focus on re-review of applications that were approved prior to 2014.  An ethics re-review to ensure the study meets current ethical requirements, will be undertaken and communicated individually with each PI and primary contact on the study.

The BC Knowledge Development Fund (BCKDF) has awarded $3.7 million for 13 research projects being led by researchers at the University of British Columbia.

TGMS overview The three federal granting agencies, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) have embarked on an initiative to modernize their grants management system to better support applicants, administrators and reviewers during the grants management lifecycle.

Interested applicants are asked to email danica.kell@ubc.ca by Friday, January 6th to receive a copy of the institutional support letter template and instructions for confirming internal contributions. This support letter is a mandatory element of the Stage 1 proposal and applicants must work with SPARC to secure a signature.

The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry announced an investment of more than $139 million to support 176 new and renewed Canada Research Chairs across 46 institutions in Canada and a further $6m to 29 of the Canada Research Chairs at 22 universities across the country through the CFI John R. Evans Leaders Fund.
